A friend of mine created software that translates input from a piezo mic into midi data, making anything you can attach the microphone to a potential midi controller. It’s called the Pulse Surface Controller System check out the video to see what it or you can do with it.

Wow! That is crazy! I’ve always wanted to play steel drums with my finger tips on the desk… Now if we can get technology for air guitar to produce midi data!
