The new Mix Master headphones by SkullCandy are out now! These headphones look like the real deal, and when i get my hands on them I’ll do a proper breakdown on the features. The release party (which is tonight and by invitation only) has a line up to be reckoned with. DJ Muggs, Rahzel, Grand Wizzard Theodore, DJ Shortkut, and DJ Apollo will all be warming up the party until the Master arrives

The headphones are being packaged with special Serato record which includes Mix Master Mike’s new EP, entitled “Plazma Ryfle”. (Sweet album cover design ;) If it’s anything like his previous album, Bangzilla, it should be an aggressive instrumental hiphop, with lots of scra-scra-scratchin’.

KEXP of Seattle is hands down one of the best radio stations in the country. It’s a community-based public station with the most ecclectic range of tunes. I heard a few tracks from the mash-up artist Girl Talk on KEXP and found a free download of his new album on his website. If you’re in the mood for some clever mash ups or just curious to see how Radiohead and Wu-Tang mix together, give this a listen!
